While some argue that the 2-piece lug nuts are beneficial, I don’t see the stock Tesla lug nuts as such. The soft material makes the outer shell easy to deform, and removing it becomes a nightmare. Buying a high-quality aftermarket product will prevent it.
Dynofit M14x1.5 Lug Nuts
With its own factory, team of engineers and two decades in the industry, Dynofit is one of Amazon’s most trusted Automotive Part providers. The Dynofit lug nuts aren’t specifically designed for Tesla cars, but the M14x1.5 thread pitch makes them compatible.
Made of cold-forged alloy steel, these lug nuts are durable, and the one-piece design makes them a suitable replacement for your factory two-piece Tesla lug nut.
Dynofit recommends using a hand wrench rather than an impact tool to prevent damaging the lug nut coating.
The Dynofit lug nuts are the best choice on Amazon. However, some folks say they started to rust after several months. If the winter is harsh in your area, check out the next option.

The Evannex lug nut set is nearly a pound lighter than the factory. Titanium is solid and corrosion-resistant. The open-ended design allows for use with both OEM wheels and conical-seat aftermarket rims working with your Tesla’s factory 21mm socket.
Nearly 50% lighter, much more durable, and almost impossible to crack for $200. If I ever need new lug nuts, I’d go for these.
Best Tesla Wheel Locks
Wheel locks might not be necessary for the area where you live or regularly park your Tesla. But you never know.
No one can predict when they’ll end up in the wrong place at the wrong time. Consider at least the essential 4-pack wheel locks, if not the ultimate 20-pack system (second option).

Note: This product is a direct fit for all OEM Tesla wheels. However, factory wheel covers for Model 3 18″ Aero Wheels won’t fit over the Gorilla wheel locks.

Best Tesla Lug Nut Covers
An aftermarket lug nut cap kit allows you to find a better match for your Tesla wheels or body color. There are many options, but finding the one most folks are happy with took me a while. The good thing is these lug nut covers come in two colors.
Lug Nut Caps in Gray or Black
The lug nut covers offered by Traverse Ridge Racing fit all Tesla models. You can choose between two finishes: Glossy Black or Gunmetal Gray. The latter is a great match for Tesla’s Midnight-Silver body color or Model X Sonic Carbon Slipstream wheels.
The Traverse Ridge Racing lug nut covers are a little shorter than the original caps, but that’s not an issue. These are sturdy, easy to install, and clean. The removal tool included in the cap kit will help you take off the old ones.
Most aftermarket lug nut covers will look too tall when installed on OEM Model 3 Aero wheels or Y wheels. The Traverse Ridge Racing cap kit fits great, giving your rims a more elegant appearance. That’s why many wheel and tire shops sell those but at a higher price.
While made of plastic, these lug nut covers are solid, and the finish won’t scratch easily. The product is one of Amazon’s choices in the Tesla wheel accessories for a reason.
Best Tesla Wheel Bands
When I bought the new rims for our Model 3, I wrapped those in a set of Continental tires with the extra rubber on the sidewalls. It protects the rim’s edge from curb rash, so there is no need for wheel bands.
But if you don’t have such tires and wonder if rim protectors are worth spending money on, the answer is yes. It’s a good accessory that helps you to protect and maintain the wheel and tire.
The problem is every product I found during my research had multiple customer complaints. There was only one exception.
Tesla Rim Protectors from AlloyGator
That’s the newest product of the UK-based company specializing in wheel protection. The rim protectors come in a pack of 4 and are good for up to 24-inch wheels.
While there are few reviews on Amazon, AlloyGator has an excellent 4.7-star score on TrustPilot based on 334 opinions.
TUV safety tested and awarded product of the year by AutoExpress, it’s safe to assume that AlloyGator offers some of the best rim protectors on the market.
The main goal is to hide existing scratches and protect your wheels from curb rash and other damage.
But with multiple colors available, the AlloyGator wheel band is also an excellent option for customizing your Tesla rims.
I wouldn’t call it a simple DIY customization, so professional installation is recommended. But if you’re handy and there’s a good surface for the protectors to stick, it shouldn’t take you more than a couple of hours. Make sure you read the instructions or watch the videos on AlloyGator’s YouTube channel.
I don’t have wheel bands on my car, so I can’t recommend a brand based on personal experience. You’d agree that a company specializing in wheel protection is your safest bet.

The main purpose of wheel center caps is to keep the dust away. However, these are also an affordable option to add a personal touch to your vehicle regardless of the Tesla model you own.
XDG Wheel Center Caps
The XDG Amazon store offers wheel accessories for most automotive brands with excellent ratings. Their Tesla center caps are no exception. Made of chromed aluminum, the 2.2-inch stickers fit all Tesla Models, and you can choose between Black and Silver.
The 3D stereo effect and concave shape make this center cap look different and much better when compared to everything else I’ve seen.
The XDG center caps fit precisely, but to be on the safe side, you should add extra double-sided tape or super glue to the back of each center cap.
It’s not the best quality aluminum, but I’d always choose these center caps over the cheap plastic ones. Definitely worth paying a few extra bucks.
Kavanic Wheel Center Caps
Kavanic promotes these Red Tesla center caps as an addition to their wheel covers (you can see those on their Amazon Store). However, the center caps will fit on any wheel cover, OEM Tesla wheels, or aftermarket rims matching the factory specs.
These center caps are also made of aluminum, and since the XDG product shown above doesn’t have Red ones, I included the Kavanic’s. The Red color isn’t an exact match to the Tesla red calipers, but it still looks good and will make your wheels pop.
I’ve bought Kavanic products in the past and have no complaints. However, I can only recommend the Red center caps, as some folks were not happy with the appearance of the Matte Black.
Best Tesla Wheel Cap Kit
If you’re happy with your original Tesla lug nuts but want to enhance your wheels a bit, a wheel cap kit is the accessory you need. Anyone can handle the installation using the application tool.
Kenpenri Wheel Cap Kit
The Kenpenri wheel cap kit works on all Tesla models and is available in five color combinations. It includes center caps, lug nut covers, a puller, and a small screwdriver to remove the old center caps.
If you want to be picky, you could find some imperfections. But considering the $90 you’ll pay for a wheel cap kit in the official Tesla shop, the Kenpenri product is a bargain. A detailed installation guide and product dimensions are also included.
A Tesla wheel cap kit at that price, offered in five color combinations, I see no reason to recommend another option. The 4.5 stars based on 800 ratings verifies it.
